So FTD and I took our first trip with our son. Let me tell you I worried so much before we had gone and it was fro nothing, lol. Our son was a perfect little angel for the most part! I was so happy he was able to sleep in a different place that wasn't home and even put up with his car seat for a couple hours at a time. We brought a lot of my son's favorite things with us and I think that helped a lot. I brought his bouncy chair so he could hang out in it while we were at the hotel. I also took the pack n play and brought his favorite rag to cuddle up too when it's time for a nap or bedtime. Yes he has a rag it really just a plain burp cloth he loves like a blanket I'm not sure why he's attached to it but I'm glad it gives him comfort.
My sons got a bit cranky when we ventured out to a eat so we had to go back to the car and calm him down, which was the only downside. I think he had to much stimulation for the day and the restaurant was his breaking point and he started to fussy and cry. Otherwise it was a great trip and I'm happy we took the chance to get away.
